22.11.2023 - 20 лет воссоздания Янтарной комнаты - выставка "Ярче солнца"

В Екатерининском дворце открылась выставка «Ярче солнца», она посвящена 20-летию завершения воссоздания Янтарной комнаты. Царскосельская янтарная мастерская предоставила для экспозиции редкие предметы, которые до этого не выставлялись в музее - историческую лепную модель большой янтарной рамы, антикварный микроскоп и инструменты, которыми пользовались мастера 20 лет назад.

08.10.2023 - Друзья Петербурга в Царском Селе / мастер-классы от реставраторов

Вот уже второй год Царскосельская янтарная мастерская принимает участие в программе Друзья Петербурга, которая проходит под патронажем компании ПАО "ГАЗПРОМ". Обширная и разносторонняя программа Друзей Петербурга дает возможность петербуржцам и гостям города принять участие в различных мероприятиях, посетить те объекты, которые обычно закрыты для посторонних. Вот и в этот раз участникам программы удалось попасть в нашу мастерскую, пообщаться с реставраторами и самим попробовать себя в роли мастеров по гипсу и живописи, а самое главное - унести свои ценные работы с собой, на долгую память.

09.09.2023 - Яблочный полдень и мастер-классы от реставраторов

Царскосельская янтарная мастерская впервые приняла участие в семейном празднике "Яблочный полдень", который вот уже более 10 лет проводит ГМЗ "Царское Село". Местом встречи вновь стал оранжерейный комплекс «Верхние теплицы» в Александровском парке — в обычное время этот комплекс закрыт для посещения. Большой семейный праздник посетители ждут и любят за особую атмосферу и гармоничность.

The Tsarskoye Selo amber workshop, together with the Tsarskoye Selo restoration workshop, opened its first exposition in Moscow, at the All-Russian Museum of Decorative Arts. The exhibition presents more than 100 unique exhibits that have never been exhibited in the capital before.

In this project, we wanted to tell you about the main milestones of the workshop. One hall is completely dedicated to the recreation of the eighth wonder of the world - the Amber Room of the Catherine Palace Museum, as well as the scientific reconstruction of amber items. In the same room, there are two replicas of Florentine mosaics from the interior of the Amber Room - masterly works of stone-cutters imitating easel painting.

The central place in the first room is occupied by a large amber box with carved figures from mammoth bones. The casket is a scientific reconstruction of an item from the Berlin collection lost during the Second World War. The master, who has been working on the creation of this masterpiece for 7 years, Viktor Zhirnov has been working in the Amber Workshop since 1982.

The second hall of the exposition "Amber Room and Other Projects. Secrets of Restoration" tells about the work of Tsarskoye Selo masters with hard stone and amber in terms of modern works and replicas. The glass showcases display stone-cut figurines in the Faberge style, wooden caskets for books with covers using the Florentine mosaic technique, precious albums created with the support of the Russian patron Anatoly Strigo, as well as amber panels "Peter I", "Catherine II", "Chase", "Medicine Buddha" and "Bodhisattva".

Another hall of the exposition is dedicated to three restoration projects of the Tsarskoye Selo amber workshop - the restoration of the Lyons Hall, the Agate Rooms and the Church of the Resurrection of Christ.

The hall is complemented by objects made of jasper and amber. Photographs of restored interiors in carved gilded frames. The center of the room is a sumptuous malachite vase, as well as an area with replica chairs of the Lyon Hall and a table with a lapis lazuli top.

The last hall of the exposition is completely dedicated to the furniture created by the Tsarskoye Selo restoration workshop. There is a lapis lazuli chest of drawers and a bed, an Art Nouveau table and chairs made of wavy maple and mahogany, a huge mirror inspired by French furniture from the era of Napoleon III. The guests of the exhibition especially liked the mirror.
